Arlene Ganess is the Event and Communications Coordinator for the Hudson County Chamber of Commerce, where she manages all aspects of the event planning process, including collaborating with Members and staff to generate content, identify venues, manage registration and track revenue goals. In this role, Arlene also manages the email communications and social media of the Chamber. Arlene is the staff liaison for the Young Professionals of Hudson County Council and looks to bring together Young Professionals, like herself, where they can build their network, learn from each other and get involved with the local community.
Arlene began working with the Chamber as an intern in June 2017. Shortly after, she began part-time with the Chamber as the Events Coordinator in September 2017 and then accepted her first full-time position as the Event and Communications Coordinator in January 2018. When she is not at the Chamber, Arlene volunteers with various high school basketball leagues in Hudson County like the Hamilton Park Summer League and the Hudson County Fall League at Hudson Catholic High School.
Arlene received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Business Management and a minor in Marketing from Saint Peter’s University in May 2017. Throughout college, Arlene was actively involved with student life as a student leader. She was Class President for all four years, President of the Students of Caribbean Ancestry Club, a student ambassador, and worked as the Head Manager of the Men’s Basketball Team. Arlene also had two event planning internships at the University where she helped coordinate open houses, accepted student’s day, group tours, and assisted with external events including weddings, sweet sixteen's, conferences and more. She continues to be a part of the Saint Peter’s University Alumni community as a member of the Graduates of the Last Decade Committee and the President’s Council.
Arlene is currently furthering her education with Saint Peter’s University as an MBA candidate with a concentration in Marketing and looks to finish in May 2020.
